i think 19x8,5 with final offset 17 (32-15spacers) is too low, moreover if u are low as mine.
or other possibility is ur springs to soft maybe, have to change to sport springs.
or what is ur tyre spec, already use both 215 and 225/35/19.
the 225 its to wide especially for me, it rubs against the fender -___-

now mine is 19x8,5 et20 with 215/35/19, runs free whatsoever with that kinda height

Yea I have 8k springs up front and if its to low it would hit fender not spring. Im not having fender issues its not insanely low. But I think a 215 35 would help out. I have 225 35 on it now. My fenders are rolled and pulled.

Hey guys. I've got an 01 C240, put some H&R lowering springs on it. I've heard that with lowering springs on OEM struts, it will wear them out faster. How do I tell when they need replacing and at that point what would you guys recommend to match with those springs.

Many thanks,
Trevor

yes they'll wear out faster because you're not allowing the strut to fully travel anymore so its always on a load which will wear it out quicker. You'll know its dead when your rebound on the struts doesnt rebound like it should. it'll feel like a boat riding on waves instead of rebounding back to its position. What you can do is push down on a corner of the car and the car should rebound back its position without bouncing a couple of times or you'll hear it knock.

They need replacing as soon as you can. Not really for safety reasons, but because the setup is just lousy and neither the springs nor the struts are operating how they should. Unless money's tight or you want to wait for the Canadian thaw, of course.

Kk thx guys. Still debating between Koni Yellows struts or just replacing everything with the H&R sport cup kit.

And now I'm thinking if I'm gonna spend money on suspension should I just go with coilovers?

hey azn.ttr, do you have a better picture of the front wheel gap with the h&r springs? your spring set lowers 1.4f 1.3b and the springs they have for the 4matics now say 1.3f 1.2b and i have stock ss springs so do you guys think i will at least get 1inch lower in the front? also i am stock 17"s with 235/45/17 but want to go to 18"s or 19"s so that should help with gap right? I dont want coil over low but maybe 2finger in front low lol anybody chime in.

Have a look through my thread. Should have some pictures in there. Though mine is a 2001 and they had a really odd uneven setup. The front was like 4x4 and the rear was almost tucked stock.

Surprisingly, it's BC coilovers. They're at www.bcracing-na.com. I've seen very good reviews of their setups.

For those who are currently running H&R coilovers, I need some advice on fitment:

My current setup is:
235/35/19 Falken FK452 (front)
265/30/19 Hankook V12 (rear)
19" MRR GT-1 with 35mm offset

If I want to run H&R coilovers, would they clear my brakes? Reason I ask if they don't then I would need hubcentric spacers, which means I would have to roll/pull fenders and grind the tabs. This route would cost me $1200 on just parts alone.

My other route would just be to stick with my H&R springs and replace my OEM shocks with bilstein B8's. This would cost me ~$800 on parts.

Any suggestions? I have about 75k miles on the car fyi.

Ended up getting KW V1's for my car. Absolutely loving them. Had to get 10mm spacers for the front though.

just lowered my c230 on bc racing coilovers an inch from maxing the front out. my problem is I can barely turn the car anymore. I have about half the turning radius i had before. I havent got an alignment yet but i feel i should have much more turning radius than what im having right now. I just dont want to waist the money on an alignment for the steering to still be messed up then have to get another alignment. Im afraid i installed the top hats wrong , but there is no griding or clunking so I really have no idea. Just wanted to see if yall went through the same thing im going through or any advice to possibly fix my problem.

Man that looks great! Curious to know what size spacers you're running! Any rear shots? Would love to see the rear fitment!
