W203 c230k
Hi All!
I just joined...from South Africa.
I need some advice please. I have a c230 coupe. Currently have FK coilovers in with 17 inch 8j et35 wheels. Tyres are 225 45 17.
The car is Lower than stock but I want to turn it all the way down in front but cannot due to clearance of coilover against wheel. Looked at a few options:
1. Hubcentric spaces to clear coilover more in front, however eibach and another manufacturing company told me that due to the thickness of the front hub if I put anything thicker than 5mm spaces I will be riding on the wheel bolts which is not ideal. I currently have 5mm spaces on.
2. Change the wheels to perhaps 18inch with lower offset. Et20-30? Not really keen on this idea as I like the current wheel.
3. Change tyre size from 225 45 17 to 205 40 17 or 205 45 17. I think the 205 45 17 would be ideal as I only have about another 10mm max to turn down in front, I'm worried that if I put the 40 profile on that I will still have the wheel gap in front.
Any advice please? Thanks and Regards - Bhavesh Coilovers as it is now

in my opinion, the car needs 18.
Not just for the look, but if you go to 205 45 or 215 40 17" and lower all the way down you will not be able to drive the car, because it will hit the ground every time.

C200K with stock rims (for now...) and Sport Eibach springs. Everything else is stock:
Coming (really) soon:
Borbet "A" 17x7 ET38 for the front/ 17x8.5 ET32 for the rear.

So many different setups listed. I am buying coilovers (brand not sure yet but looking and h/r or BC strongly, or bilstein), also buying 18s and have picked these.. Cosmis Racing R1's 18x8.5+35mm and 18x9.5+35mm, shop also recommending 225/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rear.
https://www.cosmisusa.com/product/r1/
They did not mention any rolling of fenders, or need of camber kits, or spacers, bolt extensions, etc
Seems like all these setups have all of that..
Do I need any of this or will the wheel/tire setup work fine with the coilovers and look good enough?. Car is my tuned up DD that I am working on improving, it is not my weekend toy however.
gonna purchase all within a week so any help is appreciated. thx

Love all the different looks on the W203's! I had a question, I currently have the option to pick up some 2012 S550 Amg Rims.
wheels are:
front: 19x8.5, et43
rear: 19x9.5, et43
anyone see a problem running these on stock suspension until I can afford a good set of coilovers. and tire size would help a ton.
I know the size and width will work but have no idea how to calculate the proper offset.
Thanks in advance.

2006 C230 wheels question
I'm currently looking through the thread, but haven't seen anything that really answers the question of the problem I'm running into. I'm looking to get a new set of wheels when I get back home, it'll be the first modification I'm doing to the car. She's otherwise stock. The wheels I really want, I've only been able to find in 18x8.5 ET42 and 18x9.5 ET45 and I'm wanting to run that setup staggered as such (235/40/18 and 255/35/18 respectively as front and rear). What modification would be necessary to make them fit? From what I've seen, max positive offset was +38mm for factory dimensions and I'd really hate to have to settle with a different set if I can help it.
