Wrapping my interior with 3M wrap
So today I've started wrapping my wood trim interior with 3M's 1080 Brushed Steel Vinyl. This is the first thing I've ever wrapped in my life.
Here are the results so far. Tomorrow I should have the doors done. After they are finished, i will upload higher quality final photos.
Tools needed:
Exacto knife / I used box cutter ($2)
Heat Gun ($15)
Torx Bits 10-20-25
Skinny Flathead
3M Wrap ($35)
Part 2: https://mbworld.org/forums/6083701-post7.html
Part 3: https://mbworld.org/forums/6084004-post11.html

The buttons were not very hard to go around, I just took them out prior, wrapped, around the hole, pushed the excess into the hole, and popped the buttons back in. It was difficult around the driver and passenger window switches though. They are super flush to the wood.

Out Of Control!!
For the window controls, definitely - they're held on by three teeny screws.
The large, flat trim piece I don't have, so I don't know, but I'd hazard a guess of yes, since MB tries to make these as user-unfriendly as possible.

Yes, you will need to remove all door panels. I started with the front ones, but I would recommend starting with the rears. They are about %50 easier to remove and re-install. It's good practice for the front doors.

Thanks for the compliments, I am still very happy with it, I've had no problems so far.
I would definitely say go for it, like I said earlier, it was my first time ever vinyl wrapping anything. I just did 1 or two doors at a time, over the course of 3 days.
