2003 C240 Possible Key Fob sync issue
Sorry if this has been covered before but looking through hundreds of threads, I just want to get a straight answer.
I have a key fob issue. I have replaced the batteries. The light on the key fob does light up normal however it doesnt unlock / lock the car.
I have tried some of the "resync" techniques and last night i was able to get it to unlock/lock normally. Then this morning tried it again and it wouldnt work.
I have read some threads that it may lose sync after an hour or so. Now sometimes if i keep pressing the unlock button (5-20) times, it may eventually unlock.
I have removed the PWB from the housing and looked it over. No corrosion or cracks visible.
Can someone please post the proper re-sync of this model car (W203) i believe. 2004 C240.
thanks a bunch

Well i seems i had a couple things going on. I replaced the key fob battery and it didnt fix the issue. Then i tried numerous "re sync " methods and didnt work. The last one i read somewhere was to be near the car and push and hold the lock and unlock buttons together for few seconds. That seemed to work off and on. Lastly which I have no clue if it had anything to do with anything was that i replaced the key fob housing with a cheapo version from eBay because the area where the push buttons are started to crack. Works like a charm now.
