Unhappy Towed/Engine won't turn over

So the other day I tried to start my 2008 c300 and with the turn of the key I got nothing. Luckily I have have another vehicle so I jumped into that one and just thought I needed a new battery. So I bought the battery today and after putting it in I again got nothing. Lights, radio, and whatever else come on with the first turn of the key and this worked fine with both batteries. However, the second click of the key nothing would happen and then trying to start the car it was dead silent.
So after returning the battery I spoke with a service advisor who thinks one of two things. One, I need a new starter or two I have an electrical problem. Neither option sounds good but I'm hoping for a blown fuse...
Since I've had this car I had HIDs installed for the low beams and fog lights along with a sprint booster. I've been through three sets of HIDs through a local shop because one of the two fog lights would always go out after a week or so with random flickering. After inspecting the issue myself I noticed that the ballast would fry.

What do you guys/gals think this could be? I'm actually pretty nervous to hear the diagnosis. I'll keep you posted...

Ps. Service advisor/Mercedes ate the cost of the tow which I thought was pretty nice. Also, I tried both keys with both batteries and got the same results.

They will "spit out" that cost they had "eaten", when you get a quote for repair
You are in the wrong forum BTW. W204 is your forum.

Well, it isn't too irrelevant in this forum. If he said 2007 C280 it'd fit just fine! Engines are the same, so we could help.

It could be the CPS. If I were you, I'd pour cold water onto it, then attempt to crank it. It's more often than not that the cause of a failed start in these cars goes back to the CPS. It's located riiiiiiiiight abooooooooooout...
here!

Not sure where the shop gets there HIDs from but I brought up the flickering and ballast burning out situation to a different shop, who I use to have put in my HIDs, and said that they probably used cheap Ballasts. Here is the store who I trust and had work done to my vehicles and never had an issue: www.http://dreamtoyz.net
Here's the shop where I've gone back to three times for HIDs: http://audiovisionswp.com/index.html
1. I most likely will not be going back to these guys (audio vision) even though they tried to do the right thing by replacing the ballasts and HIDs each time they went bad and by trying to find the source of the problem.
2. Who knows if the problem existed before putting in HIDs.

Mercedes
Benz Experts

I'm having a huge issue with my C280 Luxury 2006.
Here is a 2min video of the issue

It won't crank or start at all. As soon as I put the key into the 3rd ignition position. The car wont crank BUT the COOLER FAN is sounding LOUD like a Jet Turbine.

I did the following changes:
1. Checked and Boosted the Battery
2. Fully charged the battery for 45mins at advanced auto parts
3. Checked all fuses and replaced any that had issues
4. Replaced Fuse 52 for a new 20amp one
5. Checked ignition relays and put new Siemens relays.
6. I don't know what else to do

I took it to the Dealership for a mercedes recall on the sunroof that was detaching and not working. They took 4 hours to work on my car. They said they needed some glue. I took it back from the dealership for the 14 mile drive.

Since then the car won't turn on at all.

Please all your help is appreciated.

I have a 2014 C250 and I was having a similiar problem. Towed it to the shop and needed my starter replaced. They replaced the starter and I have had no problems since. Hope this helps!
