2000 c320 please help no info for transmission
hello
first of all i want to thank everyone in this forum , you have been so helpful
my car is 2000 c320 elegence automatic, i bought it used 2 months ago.
i read about the pilot bushing connecter< so i decided to check my tcu for oil leaking through the cable, i decided to change the connecter because it was leaking very bad, everything went perfect thanks to your diy guys.
i went to change the filter and seal and refill fluid since the car is with 160000 km, the surprise is when i removed the pan i did not found the magnet+ didn't find the plug in the torque converter, i turned it clock wise 360 degree found nothing,
car is European , not made in usa, also when i put transmission in manual it has only 1.2.3.4 gears then it goes to "d"
im very confused about my transmission type
722.6 722.5 722.?????
please any help,
thank you
used liqui moly Top Tec ATF 1600, approved from mb, MB-Freigabe 236.14

You have the 722.6 don't worry about that! You can only manually go from 1-4 and D will let it go to 5th.
As for pan magnet my late 01 didn't have one either I think they started putting them in in either 02-03 can't remember. Same goes for Torque converter they don't have a drain plug sadly so you have to do a flush if you want to remove all the fluid. Easy way to do that is hook up to the cooler line at the radiator and just take out 2 quarts or so and then replenish it look up the DIY one mans transmission fluid guide and it will tell you how. Fluid looks to be correct!!

I did this on my c320 and it works great just make sure to not take out to much fluid as you will starve the oil pump. I found for my car 2quarts was perfect if i took more it would start starving.
