How to release the C lock mechanism on the door?
Haven't seen this discussed here before. I'm putting on my new door panels and was putting in the plastic surround in the door with the torx bolt. I moved the C looking mechanism in the door lock further out (turns out I don't need to but that's neither here nor there at this point - yes I realize that I f*cked up), and it won't turn back, so the door won't close now.
Anyone know if there's a release there or would I have to get inside the door itself to be able to turn it back? Help me!

To reset (to unlock) - try opening the inside door unlock handle (the plastic chrome piece that's prone to breaking) all the way.
This works well for pogo lock problem where door lock mechanism can stop in between phases of lock/unlock - often being lock without visual clues and when on shuts the door, the locked lock mechanism makes a terrible bang against the door lock latch!

Luckily, it fixed itself this time. Now have two nice black leather door panels with working door locks.
Of course, I then tried to push my luck and replace the intake box. Ended up: cracking the plastic pipe that the intake box's right side bolt tightens into (who would engineer things like that? ), and couldn't get the metal ring back on the original intake box that clamps the cold air funnel down. Should have stopped when I got the panels on, I guess. Have an appt with the local dealership for Thursday now, as my car's down in PA at my parents' house. Was a most joyous day yesterday.
