Question '02 C240 instrument cluster replacement

First post! Fired up my '02 C240 last night and the cluster went nuts on me and then shut down. As soon as I turned the key I received SRS, low brake fluid and visit workshop. The various idiot lights were randomly flashing at a fast pace. I turned off the ignition and restarted the car. The cluster, computer display, ALL backlighting, ALL guages, are inop. I pulled the cluster and sprayed both the male and female ends of the harness with electrical cleaner to no avail. Upon opening the housing, I did notice that the circuit board was very hot (which leads me to believe it is getting power) however nothing is visibly burnt nor did I notice the "fried electronics smell"

All vehicle electronics work with the exception of the full instrument cluster (obviously), bright lights in auto mode with the lever FORWARD and the radio illumination buttons. The radio screen itself works fine.

I'm almost certain its the cluster itself, however I just wanted to run it by you all. Its a Saturday and my indy is closed!

Thank you so much!

Add: the steering wheel radio controls do not work either. I ordered a used cluster off eBay last night. Will advise when it arrives.

Thumbs up

Add update: As suspected it was the instrument cluster. The one I bought on Ebay works just fine as a replacement. Mine was labled as part # was 203 540 37 11 and I replaced with part # 203 540 80 11. I do have an SRS/visit workshop message and the mileage shows the typical dashes. My Indy and I are going to take care of this next week...Will advise.

Look forward to seeing how this is resolved.
