c230k Simple HP upgrade

Hey guys, I have an 02 c230 kompressor coupe. I've been looking all over the forum and i cant find a damn thing on HP improvement. I know adding an exhaust and intake will increase but I need numbers and I'm trying to push an extra 50HP from stock. Any suggestions?

Pulley upgrade and ecu flash will get you reasonably close.

There is a set of long tube headers in the classifieds. That + pulley and tune. You'll be golden.

Have you seen any before/after dynos with those headers? Given my Supersprint headers and my buttdyno reaction, I'm skeptical of large improvements with any header.

No, neither affected my reliability. You're more than welcome to meet up sometime and drive the car if you want.

An ASP pulley with core (unfortunately, RennTech doesn't do them anymore) I think will run you about $450 if I remember correctly (check their website - you may need to call them, as at this point, it would be a custom order), and installation would probably be about $150 if you can't do it yourself; new belt would be $5 or so too.

ECU tuning prices are all over the place; there are specials every so often announced here. Plan for $200 or so I figure. Plus shipping to/from CA for OE doing it, or you can download from Eurocharged directly to your ecu if you buy their wire. I'd consider the results from either company to be about the same, roughly. I'm sure they'd disagree.

So for $800 - 1100, you'd have about 15-25 at the wheels, which is about as good as you'd get in our cars for the price, with the exception of gutting the car.
