My 2005 C240 has over 100k Miles on it and the front end is getting kinda loose and rattly. Steering parts like support arms and tie rods are solid.
I am thinking of struts. What to change? Just the strut? What about strut mount? There is also a suspension strut mounting kit? What is that?

sway bar end links maybe? sway bar and bushings? just did my end links and the rattling clunk is gone

ditto, kanadian, if you hear things rattling, check the sway bar links first.

Note that things may seem tight when on the ground and loaded. You will need to get a pry bar on them and work them to see movement.

Like was said above, sway bar end links and bushings would be a great place to start. Then move to ball joints and A arm bushings.
