Front driver seat

My front driver seat is locked all the way aft. It is a power seat. All controls work. When I try and move it forward only the left portion of the seat moves. The right side is jammed or something. I looked under for any obstructions and disconnected and reconnected all the cables. My next step is to remove the seat and inspect unless somebody has a better idea.

Nope, go ahead - that's the best idea.

When you remove the seat, you may find a coin stuck in the rail [on the right side].

Disconnect battery negative cable before undoing the electrical connectors and the belt tensioner.

Broken short shaft

The short shaft on the motor was sheared at the motor. The long shaft for the left fore and aft movement is fine. I didn't see any obstructions and was able to move both rails using a drill attached to the long shaft. The motor checks fine as well. I need to figure out how to get a short shaft. It looks like 1/8 square stock made from wound wire fir flexibility. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Si I looked all over to try and get this short flexible drive shaft and had zero luck. Instead I made my own using two #2 size square bits and 1/4 inch high pressure air tubing. I put the 1/4 inch hex end into the tubing (about 1.5 inches long) and used super glue to keep them from rotating within the tube. (I doubt they will since it is a very tight fit) It is working great and is actually quieter now than it was when new!

Have same problem. Had to remove the motor and found that the flexible drive cable was severed. Trying to find a part to replace it but so far no luck. MBZ only sells the ENTIRE seat - very unhelpful. Does anyone have a source for this flexible drive cable or any suggestions?
