I need brake pads and snow tires
Hello,
First of all I apologize for making such a thread, I understand that if everyone did the same when they are looking for parts, the forum wouldn't be manageable anymore. I'm a new MB owner and I'm not familiar with websites that give references for parts that are compatible with my car.
I own a 2007 C230 Sport. I'll have to replace the brake pads but I have no idea which ones are compatible with my car. I need recommendations if there are multiple alternatives.
This winter is going to be the first since I bought this car, I live in PA and sometimes it gets really bad with snow. I understand that a RWD makes it just worse. So I'm trying to find the best set of snow tires. For now I'm looking at Michelin Xice Xi3, but how do I know the size? Do you recommend a different set?
By the way, I have these exact rims.
Besides, where can I find the bolts that attach the rims please? Mines look rusty and I would like to change them.
Thank you!

MBWorld Fanatic!
Tire sizes are in the manual. These rims have 225/45r17 fronts and 245/40r17 rears.
Bolts you can buy from an MB dealer, or online at sites like parts com, mbpartsworld com, etc.
I believe tirerack should have a listing of compatible brake pads for a start.
Also use google "w203 brake pads mbworld", "w203 winter tires mbworld" , you get the drift

Out Of Control!!
Yep, go to tirerack. They will tell you what tire sizes will work, you can read up on reviews of tires, and see what brake pads they list for you. I'd recommend Akebono ceramics, which are low dusting.

Yeah TireRack can show you sizes of tires and rims (if you wish) you can use on your car. Make sure to select sport package. Also, any reputable tire shop can advise you. Bridgestone Blizzaks WS60s and Nokian tires are top notch but really any winter tire will work well. As for brakes you can use Meyle brake discs (check to see if there's brakes for sport package MBs) and Akebono pads. Hardly any dust and stops great.
Check out FCP Euro for parts. I like ordering off of that site.

You should be able to go 225/45r17 all-around for your winter tires, even with the wider rear rims. It might say on the B-pillar when you open the door.
I always used Blizzak's in PA.

So I don't want to start a new thread, but I bought Nokian hakkapeliitta r2 245/40r17 all around. The thing is the current tires are tubeless... Do I need inner tubes? If so, what size please? I looked online and apparently no one is talking about inner tubes. Is there a brand better than the others? Thanks
