2002 320 wgn HEADLIGHTS & TAILLIGHTS OUT
A friends running lights,tail lights headlight (passing inner light H/B work ) . She left sunroof open and it rained hard. She claims all were working before. Battery went dead. It has a strong drain on it. Turn signals, flasher, reverse lights all work. Fuses good. When you turn the car off, light switch in auto, the brake lights inner high beams and front running light stay on for a minute or so. I also noticed when I open the drivers door the fog lights came on. They all go off by themselves at same time. Any help would be appreciated.

Battery drain might be a power seat module shorting?
Headlights almost sounds like the front SAM is damaged, but I don't see why. Have you tested with a fresh 100Ah battery?

Just had battery tested and charged at our local Interstate. Does the front SAM control side marker lights, low/high beams, brake lights. As far as the drain, with a test light in series on negative battery cable I pulled all fuses out of all three fuses boxes and disconnected the six leads at the jumper box next to the battery and B+ at back of alternator, still aluminates the test light.
