Front Axle Fluid?
Owner's Manual for 2004 C240 4Matic says:
Front axle C240 4MATIC 0.5 US qt Hypoid gear oil 85W 90
Rear axle C240 All Models 1.2 US qt Hypoid gear oil 85W 90
Transfer case C240 4MATIC 0.62 US qt MB Transfer case fluid
Questions:
Where does gear oil go in the front axle? Certainly not in the CV joints!
Rear axle is the differential, right?
What is MB Transfer case fluid? Same as MB Automatic transmission oil?
Dang, German is hard to understand!!!

Great pic. Thanks - But then why do they say:
Transfer case C240 4MATIC 0.62 US qt MB Transfer case fluid?
So Transfer case and front diff are not the same thing?

2005 C240
That is correct the Transfer case is NOT the same as the front diff.
The front diff runs the same fluid as the rear diff.
Also the front diff does not have a drain plug so you will need to suck the fluid out and add fluid all in the same hole.
