C240 2002 Slow to Power

C240, 161,000 mi, Yr 2002.
Car is very slow to power, dragging, and requiring hard acceleration if I want to build up speed fast. I'm thinking of replacing spark plugs. I've owned car for 10 years so I can tell the difference in performance.

At 161,000 miles plus, the OEM spark plugs have never been changed, so I'm thinking this might be the reason. Although I have ordered Bosch plugs to replace, are plugs responsible for this dragging? I'm technical so I can replace plugs myself.

Does any one know? Thanks.

Not to be vague, but anything's possible - they could be a culprit. That's way too long of an interval before replacing; how about the coilpacks?

Search for a throttle reset here too; you might see some performance increase from doing that. Though an 01 240 is still not gonna be challenging 911s, of course.

Thanks Tommy. I'll check that out.
