Is there a vent on the top of auto transmission unit?

I have a 2005 C230 with five speed automatic transmission (722.6?). There is a leaking vacuum pump (plan to replace it ASAP). The automatic transmission bell housing is covered with thin film of oil (from leaking vac pump).

I would like to clean it with degreaser spray and rinse with water hose. I am worried that the water might get into the transmission unit through the vent hole.

Is there a vent on the transmission unit?

Water/degreaser won't go inside transmission if you clean the bellhousing area with water+degreaser. Transmission filler tube is in that area. Make sure the cap is there tight and the red lock-pin is engaged on that cap.
