radio install

Hi my name is joe and i just bought my first benz 03 c240.
the question i have is i want to put a dvd player in it but it has a premium sound system in it with stock amp. On the stock radio harness i cant find any speaker wires and there is this weird plug with 2 orange wires please help as to what wire harness i need as to i cant find it anywhere or how i can wire the radio in thanks

You car has a fiber optic ring (orange cable). The sound travels as a digital signal from the head unit to the amp which is located in the trunk. The amp has normal wires going out to the speakers from there. If you install something else you will need to run wires to the trunk, add a new amp and splice into the speaker harness there. The speakers you have are designed to match the Bose amp which will cause problems with most of the amps you might buy. Search the W203 forum.
