zip tie the bumper covers

So some a-hole stole my last bumper covers. Fine, insurance covered it, but it's been a month w/o em and I don't want a repeat. I've been told to zip tie them. Drill a hole, put zip ties in, but I need the practical way to do this b/c I don't want it showing (obviously go with black). Any pointers/videos? Thx,

I don't get it either...if they can remove a bumper cover, they can probably snip a couple of zip ties...

the bumper covers are the black wire mesh that surrounds the fog lights and lower center of the bumper. They are clipped on and they are expensive. If you zip tie them, the idea is it will prevent theft b/c if it takes more than a minute to grab they'll move on. So now that I'm answering your questions, it'd be nice if someone could answer mine.

Thx for clarifying....generally bumper cover refers to errr... the whole bumper cover.
Back to your question, I agree that those mesh grilles are pretty easy to ****** and go, so some small zip ties will probably deter the thieves. Now you've got me thinking about doing the same...

Zip tie will not deter someone that wants to steal that metal grill.

Whenever possible, I park cars in well lit parking lots with wide open spaces. I try not to park next to bunch of cars.

Seems like, as these cars get cheaper, specific folks acquire them and need some replacement parts for cheap... Sad

THE C350
Yeah the w203 ownership crowd has been sadly getting very interesting around my area at least. You also notice the questions on here start to get interesting as they buy a MB to be cool or whatever but then complain about how much parts are and want MB to warranty something that is over 10 years old and on its 2nd-50th owner. Its sad that people buy an expensive car for cheap and don't understand that even though they paid a few thousand for the car that even a simple eis failure could be 1/4 or more the value of the car. I always tell someone looking at a Mercedes or any expensive brand do you have 2k ready at a moments notice for an emergency repair? If not buy a different brand.

I think zip ties could be good but my only concern is that if I was trying to steal them I would probably not be looking too closely for zip ties and might end up bending the crap out of mesh. That said I guess at that point it wouldn't matter why not just electrify them ?
