Radio broken

Hi guys!

I am the proud owner of 2004 MB C200 Kompressor, very happy with it. The technical state is great, only a couple of things have had to be fixed, and with the 170 000 km it has driven, it is still great.

However.. on Friday I was still listening to my very loud music, and then on saturday it doesn't work.
I use a modulator to listen to music from my USB stick, it uses a radio frequency.
The radio comes on, recognizes radio stations, it takes the CD, but says there is an error, and all the sound is just static noise.

I checked for fuses, I only have the 64 one, which is near the engine, and it is fine, as the radio comes on.. the other 2 listed for the radio and so on do not exist in my car..

I have no idea where to look, and not sure if I can get to a dealer right away.. I suffer driving around with no music.

Has anyone else had this problem?

What is the error? Face lifted interior or not? Also do you have the upgraded stereo or not?
