Any idea what is the normal Timing advance for 2005 C230 M271?

My car runs a bit rough when i start it and there is barely noticeable hesitation when I start accelerate at low speed.
I used an obd scanner to get the timing advance readings at idle and it was varying between +4.5 to +8.
is that normal?

checked a while ago, between 8 and 12 at idle with engine at operating temp. Never went below 8.

Thank you, any idea if that would be Timing chain issue or cam shaft sensor issue, I have no check engine codes.
Thank you again.

I would pull the valve cover and check...chain should be taut across the upper guide. Also check the sprocket teeth. Type "my chain pics" in the search box and dig up my post with pics of what it should look like. My chain was barely stretched at 120k miles, replaced it anyway.
