Hello guys,

I would like to fix my armrest. When closing its falls instead closing slowly. I figured out that probably is bad gear wheel (see attached photo) but I don't know name of this part. Can you help me where I can purchase this part?

+1, never thought it was meant to close slowly.
We need to ask Jkowtko or someone who has had the car from relatively new.

This small gear wheel is filled with oil whose task is slow down closing of armrest.

I just took some video of my armrest ... a bit of a surprise to me, but yes there is a damper in there! Albeit not a very stiff one, but it does keep the top from slamming down.


So it looks like artim808 isn't pulling our leg

I can't say it has ever closed more slowly than that though.

Yeah, yeah ... once in a while I'll wipe down the interior with a warm wet rag. I should probably do it more often.

I use diluted simple green. It works very well. I use clean toothbrush for cleaning grooves/texture in the leather.
