MB C230 Subwoofer upgrade on OEM stock BOSE system
Hi guys,
I'm hoping you can help me. I have a 2003 MB c230 kompressor coupe with a premium bose system. I wanted to get a little more bass from the 4 x 6" subwoofer and was thinking of swapping out the sub box or tapping in some how and adding some 8" or similar woofers with a dedicated amp. I've learned though that these Bose systems have some weird OHM rates of 2, 1 and 1/2 ohm impedance and could making matching things tricky. A friend has suggested maybe swapping out the existing sub box for different BOSE woofer from another MB model like the ML or SL...Any help would be very appreciated.
thanks\

Anything come of this? I have a 2003 c240 that I'd love to hear hit some lower frequencies. Did you end up getting any upgrades? I'm honestly considering going double double din with all new door speakers, and a 12 in the back. But if there is a good option to just replace the Bose sub it would be great to know.
