Aux input cable not working?
Ok, so I take up the panels on the passenger side and found the white connecter. Got excited and went to mercedes dealership and picked up the aux cable, part no. A210 440 50 05. Installed cable with no problem. Ran it to glove box and everything fit fine. Plugged my phone into the 3.5mm connection, held the cdc button down until "active input" was displayed on screen and I don't get any audio out of it at all.
I've tried a couple different cables from my phone the the aux connection. I've also turned the volume up and both the stereo and phone, but nothing at all. What am I missing here? Anything? Does this cable run directly into the back of the stereo? Just wondering if I have to remove the stereo, which I was trying to avoid. Could it be a faulty cable? Maybe a fuse?
Thanks for any suggestions.

I would check all connections at the radio as well as where you plunged in the aux cable.
You could also test the aux cable to make sure it is not defective.
No fuses involved.

Thanks for the reply. I did double check the connection at the white plug, so I'm guessing it's the connection behind the stereo or faulty at the 3.5mm connection? Man, what a pain.

What format of music were you trying to play? When I initially hooked mine up I tried playing music from music videos on YouTube but that didn't work. MP3 files from my phone/iPod, SoundCloud and Spotify work great.

If your using the aux input you can input any type of music you want is all just analog. Now if you are using an ipod kit it may have an issue but I haven't tried that.
