Transmission fluid for 236.14?
Hi All,
Just wondering what the recommended transmission fluid is for the 2005 MB c230 1.8L Auto 4dr Kompressor?
It is my understanding that it is any fluid that is compatible with the 236.14 transmission?
Is that correct or am I missing something?

Yes 236.14 is backwards compatible but if fluid has not been changed for quite a while then I would get closest to original spec from owners manual believe e320w210 with 722.6 5speed at think called for .09 or .10 used royal purple atf regular multi vehicle atf believe was spected to 236.11 or .10 think use of a lv atf in worn transmission is more likely to have slipping issues later the spec lower the viscosity or thinner fluid was about 750 ml low had shifting hiccups added almost a liter to the original fluid and shifting was back normal
