Radiator replacement opinion

As I was driving around a few days ago, I briefly had an issue where it seemed like the gear was "slipping" (the rpm's increased without any real power). Brought it into the mechanic today and was told that there is a gear oil leak, which was traced to the radiator. Which meant I was advised to replace the radiator. Does this sound right?

To add to this, I have got a "check coolant level" warning twice the past couple weeks. The coolant issue would make sense but I am a bit skeptical with the oil leak. Any opinions?

TIA and this is a 2003 c230 coupe if it matters.

Correction...transmission fluid, not "gear oil".

The coolant has been mixed with the transmission fluids, thats why you are getting check coolant level warning. Your transmission will die eventually even if you keep throwing money to the radiator and transmission flushes and eventually you are forced replace the whole transmission. You could test fluids for glycol if you want to be 100% sure

I would get rid of the car asap
