Mercedes Benz 2002 c320
Thumbs down help! Just looking for some parts and some help!

Hello I am new to the site! I am a college student with limited funds. I drive a 2002 Mercedes Benz c320 v6 4 door. I am looking to buy body kit parts (Side skirts, Bumpers/fenders, hoods), Sprint boosters or any other mods, and any mufflers to make my car louder! Thank you in advance! I am paypal ready! located in New York! Any tips for a better performing car is also appreciated! My car seems to be lacking responsiveness. I have already installed K&n filters. They worked amazing at first but it seems like there is something wrong with my car. No malfunction warning on dash.

Welcome to MBWorld!

With a limited budget, might have to scour the classified to see if you can find people who are parting out their mods as you can often score deals and if the part is in the same paint color as what you have, an even bigger score. If you want to make your car louder, you can do a resonator delete as a cheap way or even try straight piping which any muffler shop can take care of.

Sprint booster really is no different that applying a lead foot to the car as it simply amplifies your pedal signal.

If you want to modernize her with whiter lighting like you see in newer vehicles, let us know and we can hook you up with plug and play LEDs and HIDs.

Welcome to the site!

I do not intend in any way to discourage your enthusiasm and much less bash you, but it sounds like you want to customize the looks of your car and increase performance, yet your car is in need of maintenance/repairs and you have limited funds.

My advice to you is to get it running right and then worry about the rest. A custom look/sound is going to be worthless if your car breaks down, you junk it or sell it for peanuts because you can't afford the increased repairs and you'll end up giving away all the money and effort that went into making it look good.

If it's lacking responsiveness, invest in either a full tune-up (plugs, spark plug wires, fuel filter, injector cleaner treatment, etc - use oem/quality parts and you'll be amazed by the improvement) or if you're not sure what's causing the performance decrease, have a full diagnostic done by a shop with STAR diagnostic equipment (highly recommended). This will help you pinpoint the problem(s) and the investment will actually save you a lot of money in the long run.

Best of luck and keep us posted on your progress!

[EDIT:] I'm not a big fan of K&N filters. I used them for a long time and I am convinced they lead to accelerated engine wear. The oil also tends to foul up the MAF sensor. Finally, my mechanic told me that while initially they do increase performance, as they age they are actually worse than a paper filter and decrease fuel mileage. I know a lot of people will differ with my opinion - I'm just pitching in my $0.02 on this one...

I have a single in dual out mufffler sitting out my house I'll sell you. Forgot which manufacture but it's a quality muffler and brand new. If you want it louder I recommend removing the secondary resonator and put the muffler there and then running piping to the exhaust exit with just a tip. I have a custom rear bumper with a c63 diffuser molded to it thats in good condition. you'll just have to fix a little bit of the bumper by the wheel well that I had to cut for my wide body. I'm parting out my car so you can go check out my page if you want anything off it.

Airmatic malfunction 2009 GL320 Bluetec

Hello, Any new updates here? I'm having the issue now for about 1 month. My 2009 GL 320 Bluetec started feeling bouncy on the road so my husband used the airmatic button to rise the vehicle. We did this a handful of times and it worked. I took it into a local dealer who told us to replace the front air springs which we did. The car drove wonderful for one day then sunk to ground when I parked at home last night. This morning the car is back to the bouncy ride and I have an error on the screen stating Malfunction (w/error pointing up). I'm trying to figure out if the correction that the dealer made was not the right one since I had not received the error message until after he supposedly fixed the issue. Could the air springs be defected? They have a 1-year warranty. Any thoughts would be great.
