Exclamation Turn signal problem

Hey Guys,

Newbie here to the MB forum!
I am looking for an advice regarding my 2004 C180 Coupe. As a amateur i would appreciate some patience with my posts.

The problem is the left-hand turn signal. Even i push hard, it alway goes back to the centre position immediately and turn signal flashed only 3 times.

lamps looks fine as the hazard warning is perfectly working.

anyone can help me out???

This is rather interesting, as most people (myself included) have a problem when turning on the R blinker. In this situation, the weight of the stalk overcomes the "catch".

The switch can most likely be fixed mechanically - I would imagine it involves "adding" material to the catch so that it "sticks" better.

A new switch can do the trick, but I've already replaced mine under warranty, and this "new" one has also turned faulty. I'm starting to think it's better to DIY the repair. Anyone know if the turn signal part # has been updated?
