c 180 kompressor 2005 model automatic
hi, this morning the car did not want to accept the key , I got new batteries in key and now it accepts key but when i turn key no lights on panel comes on nor does it start any idea what it could be please urgently assist as i need to get to work

From what I understand for w203s, all host of electrical issues occur when swapping the battery.

but you might need to take it in a shop to diagnose.

Battery in the key is only for remote lock/unlock. Try another key, or disassemble this one and inspect carefully.
