C320 Engine noise, pulley? HELP
Hey guys recently this has been really getting me to...I'm getting this pulsing/vibration noise coming from what sounds like the front of the engine and I can't figure out what it is. Sometimes I can feel it from the steering wheel. Motor mounts and transmission mount have been replaced, no codes, no lights...car drives normally and I don't notice any decrease in power or anything. Have already replaced the idler pulley and no luck...thanks for the help!

I did the screwdriver thing and tried to turn the pulley and it doesn't spin feely either way with the screwdriver in place. Seems like this could be the issue?

I can say with 100% certainty that it is......
If you're wondering how that's done, here is a good instruction.

No they actually share the same pulley. I have a Bosch and ordered a pulley for a Valeo and installed it with no issue.....

Replaced entire alternator with brand new one and all is perfect! Thanks for the help guys! Alternator failed next day, so I replaced it and that turned out to be the noise
