Remove rear glass tint, Best method Help
The tint on my back glass is bubbling and needs to be replaced. Anyone know of a successful method procedure to remove it without damaging the defrost system? -vs- $180 i've been quoted.
Much thanks

Thank you hcoronado
for your suggestion.
I have tried the steam method, the ammonia and water saturation trash bag containment in hot sun method, and so far nothing has loosened or released more than 1/2 a square inch of the film at a time.
I will post some pics tomorrow so you can see the challenge I am facing.. thanks again.

Out Of Control!!
LOL. I used that same video when I did my rear side windows on my EP3. I couldn't do the rear window, and local tint shops wouldn't even touch it. So I just had a new rear window installed instead.
Though that same thing here would probably be cost prohibitive. Would they guarantee that the defrost would still work? In the grand scheme of things, I don't think that $180 is too bad. That would be a mother of a job to do.
