code P0410 Secondary air injection
hello everyone,please help...check engine warning light appeared and when i scanned the trouble is code P0410 secondary air injection.
What do i need to do?to change SMOG PUMP SECONDARY INJECTION AIR VALVE or is something else.thanks

2003 C240
I have the same problem. Mine has intermittent codes. Sometimes it shows P0410 & other times it just says emission problems on the reader.
I have been throwing parts at it without no luck. I would first check if the air pump is working buy testing it directly from the battery. Here's how:
With your C240 like mine, you don't even have to take the pump out. You simply remove the wire connector to expose the prongs.
If its an air pump problem, then it is an easy replacement.
I will be taking mine to the pros for diagnosis soon if I can't figure it out.
