Front Torque Strut Replacement?

I recently took my 2003 C240 to the dealer for some regular maintenance and they suggested that the front torque strut bushings be replaced. This was inline with my complaint of creaks at low speed turns and slight steering wheel vibration at high speeds. They wanted $900 for the repair so I declined. I plan to do this repair myself. From my research I know that its a lot easier to just replace the torque strut so that is my plan. My question is which control arm is called the torque strut? Is it the upper or the lower? I could replace all 4 but I would rather not. Also is this diagnosis accurate for my issue? I put the car on ramps when I got home and did notice all the control arm bushings seemed old and one had a small crack, but no major issues anywhere. Car has 90,000 mi btw.
Thanks!

I would go back and ask the dealer to point out which component is faulty!! Then you will be sure, however if they call the cops on you, then replace all four and enjoy life!!
