yikes

hello,

I replaced the lower head light beam today on my wife's 2007 c280. I removed the old one and used that as a sample replacement. so i go to pep boys to buy h7 replacement. now, when replacing the bulb I noticed it doesn't really twist or snap in and it seems to be only held in place by a 4 in black plastic snap on cover.

can someone in the know tell me if this is the way the bulb is held into place?

for some reason I feels like I did something wrong
