Transmission Mount - Corteco (OEM) much preffered over Lemforder?
Hi all
I'll soon be replacing the gear mount on my W203 C200 CDI (722.6 gearbox). I can get the mount made by Lemforder at approximately the same price as the Corteco, only thing is I would have to wait for it about a month.
From my understanding Corteco is OEM for the gear mount while Lemforder isn't.
Do you think the Corteco is worth the weight (pun intented)?
Also I once came across a post here detailing OEM manufacturers by part name/number. I cannot find that anymore - can anyone please direct me there?
Thank

Aside from MB, other German makes use the two brands for lots of oem parts. So you can trust Lemforder as much as Corteco, they are both proven. Febi also makes decent parts, but generally Lemforder and Corteco are top shelf for whatever part you're buying. Lemforder does lots of oem for BMW/Mini/Saab.
I've purchased dealer parts for BMW that were in Lemforder packaging.

Agree with RWDLifer. I would stay away from some aftermarket brands but the ones you mentioned are generally good. I am less familiar with Corteco but have had good experiences with Lemfoerder and Febi Bilstein generally speaking.
