Front end alignment question
Got a question,
I took my '02 coupe into a local shop to do a front end alignment a couple of days ago and they said something about the front end alignment sleeves were rusted and without having new sleeves to replace the rusted ones with, the alignment could not be done.
I then called my S.A. with this info and they state that on my car that a "special" tool is needed and only a MB dealer can preform the front-end alignment....
My question is this true or another B.S. line from the dealership ?
(The local shop was able to do the back wheel alignment fine just not the front because of the above problem, which makes me wonder)
Thanks..

Other on here have had it done at other places. You might want to search to see if you can find a reference to your location.

anyway, sounds to me that all you need is the sleeves to replace the rusted ones, and no need to find another place. If they can do it, then just find out what the part # is for the sleeves, order them, and take 'em to your local shop.

Thats what I was planning on doing until this "can only be done at the dealership" line from the S.A. and if that is the case the closest dealer I can go to is 400 miles away..
