How do I take off the engine cover for the C300

I really need help on how to take off the engine cover for my C300. I just recently bought new K&N high flow air filters for my car my problem is i don't know how to take off the engine cover so I can put them in my intakes. I tried to pull off the engine covers but they wont budge. & I don't want to pull on them too hard that I might damage them. Can any body please tell me how to remove them so I can install my air filters? Please need help badly. What kind of tools do you need to take the covers off? If there is already a post that tells you how to take off the engine covers please post the link so I may read it.

a quarter mile at a time
pull off the bottom engine cover (w/ the 3 pointed star)

pull off the two intake tubes, one on each side.

pull up on the engine cover

There are 4 torx screws for each filter.
