Exclamation INVOICE SCAN

Thank you all for sending me your PM’s about the install. Sorry it took a while but I just had my first child brought in to the world this week and have been taking care of the little one and my wife.

This should answer the most asked question of all… PRICE !
Total was $481.07 -$50 gift card = Total paid $431.07

Attached is a scan of the original invoice from the dealer… PLEASE if you are going to print the picture, CUT OFF THE TOP PART OF THE PICTURE! PLEASE! Anything that can identify my dealer, as to not get them hassled from another dealer. This is primarily to prove that I did not exaggerate my prices and they can be ordered at YOUR DEALER!

To those that want me to get them the same pricing, buy the parts and ship to or help with securing same pricing… SORRY, but no. I have bought a bit of cars from my dealer in the past and get a loyalty ‘break’ when servicing or buying parts.

Thanks to all and hope this helps!

P.S. try and talk to your sales team, Hey you bought the car they could give you a price break!

If you are close to San Fernando Valley I purchased from the MB dealer on Van Nuys Blvd. (I'm not suppose to say the name) as a walking customer $20 for the brackets and $70 for the tips and $220 for the C63 diffuser + TAX

You guys could talk to your car sells man they get about 20% discount, nothing wrong to use them for a discount, like VaderSS said you bought the car from them.

big congrats on the little one!
hope you're are getting enough sleep.

You live in Honolulu, so things are typically much more expensive there than on our shores, so if we can't get it near that price than our dealerships are ripping us off.

tanktube67, mbox & FrankW Thanks! Yes, he is truely a blessing! FrankW... I can't remember what size, but I went the largest that would fit through the bracket and made the hole in the diffuser a tad larger.

aowhaus Thanks! SLEEP! What's that? Just think it makes the car stand out. I've already had a few W204 drivers think it was a performance option
Ohh... and yes Hawaii is a tad more expensive... But worth it for me!

I agree with no ‘performance flow gain’, however the ‘note’ has changed… I was not looking to make a true ‘Y’ pipe install because I was unsure of the exhaust note sounding funny, Got Rice?

I chose this route for more aesthetic reasons. Think of it this way, mufflers have slits and holes to cancel or enhance the sound of the exhaust because of the pulse. This is what actually happened to my car. The car is not louder, but just sounds different. It sounds somewhere between a G35 and the C350 up to about 3500 rpm, which is where I mostly drive. Then you can hear the C350 more when its past 3800 rpm’s. Personally its just a choice.

I actually looked at cutting out the post cat for more sound… but then thought if I want more sound just drive the other car!

[QUOTE=VaderSS;3103620]I’ve found a pretty easy solution if you are having issues finding reasonably priced exhaust tips for the conversion.

After searching & searching & more searching Online, EBay, at Local Exhaust Shops & numerous Private Messages to people that have already done this (using SLK55, E55 tips, etc…) thanks micropower99… My dealer could not get just the tips, only the AMG’s mufflers with the tips $$$.

I have found a Factory Oval Tip with very close width & height (within 1/16”) to the real AMG C63 Tips! I just left the dealer and measured the C63 tips 4-13/16” against the……….… WAIT A SECOND………. C350 sport 4-3/4”

That’s only 1/16” difference! 2.5mm difference to the people outside the U.S.A. The height is the same!

Long story short I ordered them! The cost is only $84 bucks each! I just have to reuse the other two on the car. That’s not too bad for me I just picked up the C350 on Sept. 15th, so my tips still look new.

While these tips may not say AMG on them, they are readily available, OEM, The right Shape & Size. That’s cool with me. My quest to find tips was getting tiring. And… Yes the C350 & C300 are the same part #’s

Also measured the C63 opening and it’s approximately 11-3/4” if anyone was curious.

With the AMG Brackets putting the diffuser on was BOLT IN! No modifications!

I noticed that you cut off the tips where the bolts should hold the tips to the pipes, so how did you attach the tips to the pipes? Did you only plug them to the pipes?
Will the tips come off easily if you don't bolt them to the pipes?

I don't post here much, most of the time just checking out people's cars and admiring people's nice cars.

I just want to thank VaderSS for the post so I can finally complete the rear end setup that I was looking for.

Here is some picture and the price for the parts + labor.
MB204-490-63-27 $55.00
MB204-490-64-27 $55.00
MB204-885-23-14 $15.00
MB204-885-24-14 $15.00
Rear Carbon piece $391 shipped - $104 (Live.com ebay discount) = $287
Labor for tip install $180
Labor for rear diffuser install DIY (Not really a DIY install if you never work with fiberglass and body kit before, took me three attempts)

here's the pictures.

thanks again..

I have an OEM diffuser and brackets listed on ebay right now. A little over two days left in the auction. I also have the tips I was going to use listed on a separate auction. Hopefully I can sell it all for around $350.00 Take a look its under seller: Woodone337.

Thanks

Benz
for around 500-700 bucks depending on where you get it installed i guess, that seems reasonable. I'm going to put this on the top of my list for spring time. it really makes the car look 10xs better from behind.

prices vary for the diffuser but range from $250-300 USD.... by regular c300 you mean luxury? it will only fit the sport models (i.e. if you have a big star in the front grill!)

Wow, clean install VaderSS! Looks perfect. This may be the way to go for me. I've been wanting to do this mod but have been hesitant to spend much on the exhaust since it's pure aesthetics. I'm really glad this thread got revived or I may of missed it.

Krytech.... Thanks! yeah its a lot for just a visual install but about as much as any other quality add-on (Front spoiler, etc...)

I still get a lot of comments from other 'C' owners... they usually think it was an option

thank you very much VaderSS

Bueno, empezamos...

Este brico es un poquito complicado, ya que hay que realizar la adaptación de las 4 colas artesanalmente.

Material necesario:

COLAS AMG STYLE A204 490 63/64 27

EL DIFUSOR C63 AMG DE 4 SALIDAS A204 885 45 25
SOPORTES DIFUSOR A204 885 23 14 Y A204 885 24 14

SILENCIOSO DERECHO C320 CDI A204 490 11 35

SOPORTES SILENCIOSO 320 CDI AMG STYLE

Empezamos...

Comenzamos a cortar...

Saludos

thank you very much VaderSS
