Karman/kardon speakers
or harman^ I don't know if this is normal but when I turn on my IPOD to play a song, the speakers volume suddenly lower and the bass fades away. This only happens when I turn on and play my Ipod but when I use fm/am radio or a CD.. the speakers sound fine.. (balance, bass, volume).
Anyone know if this could be a problem?

Try using a different EQ mode on your ipod. Set it before you hook it up to either jazz or loudness and it will boost your bass (and treble in loudness mode). As far as the volume goes, try turning off the "sound check" in your ipod. I still have to turn up the volume to hear my ipod when I change over, but the sound is still good if I pre-set the EQ.

The car changes settings for when your car is playing Ipod, CD, or other things. When your ipod is playing a song, go to the sound settings and adjust it. The car remembers the settings for each.

One would think the sound settings (bass, treble) would be the same for all sources, but no. For some reason it's different for each source, so you must choose the source you want (ipod in your case) and adjust the bass and treble.
