Nice DIY. I'm sure it'll help a lotta folks. I wish I'd known to remove that cover (step 1) when I took mine out to look at 'em.

After the first time pulling them out, it seems much easier to pull them out. Without this DIY I wouldnt have done it, Thanks!
I changed the eyelids for a friend of mine and his seemed much easier to take out and he never touched the bulbs.
Also needle nose pliers do help very much!

TB5,
Not sure what everyone is talking about but I do step one all the time... People must have long arm to bend backwards or I guess they reach from the side.
General question for all. Would it do any harm if one drills a small hole through the cap for the Eyelid bulb in step 2? Would it cause condensation?

hi thanks for the photos it helps heaps
just wondering, how did you get the LED's to work with the car? i've tried LED's in mine but they stay on all the time and i get error messages. i've looked at many posts on this forum about needing resistors etc but i haven't been able to find anything of the sort on ebay.
i live in australia and i've looked around the shops locally and the best i could find were Philips Crystal Vision 4300k but they aren't 'blue' enough for the 6000k HID's i've put into the car.
any help would be great. thanks!

Great pics and DIY. Can you enlighten us on what LEDs you put in your eyelids. I assume they did not send error messages.

hey guys the crystal vision w5w bulbs i used were still too yellow and didn't match up with my 6000k hid's for the main beam.
i found some LED wedge bulbs with resistors from this website http://store.ijdmtoy.com/
they work a treat but are a bit pricey.
also, to my horror, when i went to replace the bulbs the other day to the eyelids, i noticed one of the small caps missing! checked inside the engine bay and nothing...
does anyone know where i can get a replacement cap?

Just did this install. Easy, thanks to the DIY. Did not have to take the cover off, but the pictures without the cover definitely helped sense where they would be. thanks for the DIY!

What bulbs did you use? I just bought these http://store.ijdmtoy.com/Canbus-Euro..._t10_sku26.htm
and I'm gonna put them in sometime this week. I'll give an update on that. Also, is it really okay to just pull the wiring? Or is there a more precise/safer way to do it?

I took a plier and grabbed the yellow area and pulled

Great DIY. I am another that has never removed the shield...I would think it may be helpful on the drivers side but the passenger side is really pretty wide open.
I think I will be swithing back to the Polargs from the LEDs. The LEDs are really, really bright but the housing just makes them too purple...I may try taking the drivers shield off to see how much it helps.

Lol I couldn't get the orange piece out for the life of me. How does one fit their fingers in such a tiny place and still maneuver to get a good grip...
Will try again in daylight tomm with some needle nosed pliers.
They don't have to be rotated or anything? Just pulled, correct?
