Well back to the drawing board. Hopefully this info will help others. I tapped into the rear door speakers for a high level signal to my amp and my sub does not seem to perform whatsoever. I played a 50hz sine wave and sure enough I cannot hear anything coming from the rear door speakers. I suspect like a home 5.1 surround sound the lower bass signal is not present at the main speakers and is instead diverted to the sub. The HK sub was playing the 50hz signal fine.
Vic Viper or Diesel Benz, I am now looking for the wire colors going to the sub. In the dwg you attached Vic, I cannot clearly tell what it is. It may be H4/38 although this is not in the description on the first page. H4/29 are listed as simply bass speakers?? A physical look at the sub shows many wires, it almost looks like a sub and amplifier combo, not sure. If you guys know the color of the wires that send the signal to the sub coming out of amp N40/3 that would be great. I am having trouble figuring out this drawing as it must be for several models. Again, thanks.

Ok, I think I got this figured out. It looks like I have a U58 and the sub is a dual voice coil. This is what threw me off. Also the sub seems to be combined with the rear surround right speaker. There are 6 wires going to the connector on the rear sub, 2 for the surround and 4 for the sub. Therefore I ahve now tapped into Green/Brown Green and Violet/Brown Violet coming off the amp. There are two sets of Green/Brown Green and one needs to be carefull to get the ones going to pins 4/16.
My amp adjusted was over half gain before, now I have the gains turned down to the minimum and I am still to high. I'll play with it some more tomorrow or when patience returns.

Yes Vic, that is what I did thanks to the drawing you attached in a previous post. That drawing however seems to cover up to three seperate models, I'm 99% sure I got this right however if you can double check and confirm I would appreciate it. Mine is a C300 4matic 2009.

Norm, this is very helpful, to anyone who is trying to tap into the high level inputs on their HK amp. Thank you very much!!
In the diagram, it only show one set of greenbrown/green wires.
I will have to take a look at what I have.

Hey,
I've got the same system in my W204 and working to install the LOC now. I was just wondering if these wires worked for you (Green/Brown Green and Violet/Brown Violet coming off the amp)
Thanks
Michael
