I just had a crazy idea. Why don't you take it to the dealer?

Drives: His mama. Traded y0 mama in because she was squeaking.

Or it could cost as little as a "There was a recall on the xyz part, we fixed it."

Yes, take it to the dealer, just tell them not to perform any work until they tell you the problem...

Im not sure exactly what you are askingfor here but If you are looking for other things to check, pull the actual monitor assembly and see if any of the connections are loose directly at teh back of the monitor... Otherwise you might want to start checking ebay for replacement monitors. |

Sounds like the LED screen backlight or ambient light sensor is poked. Could also be a loose connection or dry solder joint. This should be a fairly simple if tedious fix.
