HELP!!! C300 Command Screen flickers 0ff

I have a 2008 C300 with Command system, when I put the key in the ignition, the screen flickers on and off exactly 10 times then shuts off. Althoght the screen is dead I can still have control of all the function, changing CDs, raising volume, music still plays, etc. I have researched the forums and and pulled out fuses 11, 17 and 26, no help. I removed the head unit and checked for loose wires. Please Help

I just had a crazy idea. Why don't you take it to the dealer?

The warrenty is expired and it can cost up to $7000 to replace the command system

Drives: His mama. Traded y0 mama in because she was squeaking.
Or it could cost as little as a "There was a recall on the xyz part, we fixed it."

Yes, take it to the dealer, just tell them not to perform any work until they tell you the problem...

If you still have control of the unit this typically means a problem with the monitor itself and not the comand.. It can be as simple as the connector has come loose or it can mane the monitor has/is going bad and needs to be replaced.

Im not sure exactly what you are askingfor here but If you are looking for other things to check, pull the actual monitor assembly and see if any of the connections are loose directly at teh back of the monitor... Otherwise you might want to start checking ebay for replacement monitors.

Sounds like the LED screen backlight or ambient light sensor is poked. Could also be a loose connection or dry solder joint. This should be a fairly simple if tedious fix.
