Got FRONT ended?

Gotta vent..

So I'm sitting at a red light for well over a minute, when out of the blue the dumb chick in front of me decided to reverse her pos old mustang into my car.

So after following her for 5 mins she finally pulled over, couldn't speak english, had no insurance..I seriously must get out of TX.

Anyway, the grille popped out of the bumper but I was able to snap it back in..and scratches are very minor and can be easily buffed. The only cause for concern is that the front bumper hangs slightly lower on one side now. It's really not noticeable, but if you get down even with the front of the car there's a 1/3" gap between the bumper and the bottom of the headlight housing on the driver's side. The gap is much smaller (maybe 1/8") on the other side. Any ideas? I'm hoping they can just tighten it up.

I felt too bad. I didn't wanna get someone in a lot of trouble over such a minor fender bender.

Not asking for sympathy..just wondering if anyone had any idea what could've caused it. She rolled back into me at <5mph, I'd think a bumper could withstand that without cracking internally.

btw sick wheels

I dont think she was trying to run, I think she was just scared *****less and was tryin to get a grip before stopping. She was driving very slowly, then pulled into a walgreens and circled around the parking lot a few times before finally stopping. It was annoying, but if she wanted to get away she could've. I did get her name, number, and plates..though all are probably worthless at this point.

At least it's really minor. Most people wouldn't even notice it, I'm just ocd about things like this so I have to get it fixed.

Probably could remove the bumper and see if any of the mounts needs to be straightened. I don't know the specifics on this car, but on previous cars, the bumper clipped in in some places to either the fender or metal brackets underneath and some may have unclipped in a few spots.

Thanks..I was hoping to hear that. Seems like it's exactly what happened since the bumper itself has no visible damage.

I'll search the forum, but if anyone has any bumper removal tips I'm willing to listen.

Guess this would be a good time to paint my grill. lol

+100000. People like that should be taken off the street period. Sure when it happened to you, it might have been minor, but what about the next person she hits. Someone's gonna get screwed with a huge bill. She's already proved she can't drive.

I am a bit pissed off today as I notice some dumb a$$ ramed there fricken front tag holder into my rear bumper and left several screw gouges in my paint. Of course the clueless idiot simply drove away....probably have been let off by too many "nice" drivers in the past. Seeing as this is my very first damage, it is likley better that I was not around...

I've only once been involved in a fender bender that was my fault, and it was some professional-looking dude in a $100k+ Lexus LS Hybrid. He was cool as hell about it, took his car to his bodyshop and got it fixed, and I paid him immediately. Relatively painless for him. I've been hit twice now (not my fault), both times by uninsured drivers. I just have to LOL

This is what's most annoying about living in Dallas. You have super-exclusive areas mixed with crap areas and you can't avoid these people..I suppose that goes for every major city.

hahahahaha @ chubbs u a damn fool ahahahah

but c3kid you a good man for not making it into a big deal... no need to rely on police... once you get what you need fixed... and dont have to pay. if she has no insurance... at least put the fear in her about the legality of that situation... if she has none that is... this should all come outta her pockets.

as far as her weak driving... she will get whats comin to her in time.

Back on July a White lady hit my car, I was going to call the caps but I figure we’ll exchange information and that will be good enough and it turn out that her insurance card and driver license are fake.

She should pay for your repair!!! You should give her the choice that she can pay for the repair or you will turn her into the police. It's not legal to drive without insurance and we should really do our part to get these people off the streets until they get insured. Just think if it was a real wreck and she put you in the hospital with a $100,000 medical bill, you would have really needed her to have insurance then.

You should've at least made her give you cash for the repairs and threaten to call the cops. I just don't understand how/why people back into someone at a light . A guy once backed onto my Nissan Altima at a red light. I threatened to call the cops (he didn't have insurance) so he just gave me $500. Repair cost came out to less than $200

Some old man did that to me too! Then he fled, I memorzed his plate, had to go into the police station to report it and his insurance had to pay! But nothing happened to him for fleeing, they felt sorry for him since he was an old man. Really... we have these drivers OFF THE ROAD if they're lame enough to start moving backwards at a red light! Geez!

I can definitely understand the situation that you were in, but in the end it is unfair and there are just too many uninsured drivers out there. One reason why our insurance is increasing is having to pay extra incase of being involved in an accident with an uninsured motorist and it just not fair for us to pay insurance whiles others do not because of being a poor driver or no license. But you did what you did and as long as you dont feel guilty about your decision.

Since you brought it up, I'm convinced that the worst drivers, as a group, are Asian females. Often driving leased BMW 7s.
