The screen has not been changed, there is a clear touch film on top of the exisiting one, which controls an add on nav which you can see on the screen, including video input for my rear view camera and ipod videos

Yes - especially if it's from JL Audio.

Excellent job. I hope someone produced a mould.

Could you post pics of the updated screen? That sounds awesome!
You really got a great installer to do the work!

Really interested in more info on this upgrade to the stock AV/Screen etc. I am Non-MM and would really like to do something with it. Other threads or links that describe this?

My Sub and Nav

Here are some pictures of the Factory non-MM screen and My nvaigation touchscreen modification as well as the back up camera.

Forum said it couldn't be done!

I have had it done - it's a big job to install..

Parts cost me about $600 not including the rear view camera

I ordered directly from the manufacturer in HK. They don't sell to the public unfortunately.
But I am able to buy for my electronics business at wholesale..

What kind of trunk mat are you using on the floor of your C?

If your guy can get these enclosures made I'd pick one up too. Very clean.

Is he able to make one for the other side as well?

I will try and take some pics..

Of course they had to run the Audio output from the radio to the trunk, and power was sourced from the main fuse panel in the right hand side of the trunk.

Very clean and out of the way.
I was considering updating the speakers, but not required. It's perfect now!

Also I don't have the MM Screen system. I have the base model 4" screen but at the same time they added the aftermarket video module so I have NAV touchscreen and 4 Video inputs - including the rear view camera on the 4" Screen..

I will post pics later
How big (power wise) is your amp because there really isn't enough power for an amp from the rear trunk fuse module. Unless it's a very small amp, I would keep an eye on that module for overheating or worse?

that's what I was thinking. maybe there is a 4guage lead to the fuse block, and he tapped into that with a block before the fuse box and sent a 4guage extension to his amp?

details man! we need details! and I don't even have a C

That's a very nice install. If you can post some details that would be fantastic. If I can get someone local to replicate this job, this is the route I want to go. Space efficient and clean!

There is a heavy gauge power wire in the trunk, so no issues there.

The trunk mat is a weathertech mat available at the website of the same name, custom molded to our trunks/floors.

My guy may be ready to make multiple subwoofers, and will fit a 10" sub.
The 12" would probably require more room and may be a bit overpowering for our car.

How much and how long will it take? I need this now (already have the JL Audio XD600/1 on order. I was just talking to my guy, but I don't want to wait too long.
What is the mounting depth of the enclosure? I want to use a 10W3v3 (5.93" deep) vs the 10W1v2 (4.34" deep).

How many of you would be interested in a sub enclosure?
PM me - if we can get enough orders (10) my guy will get a mold made to make more.
