Search, It's been done. The whole bumper does not have to be replaced.

i just spent 40 mins searching thru many threads looking for a DIY or some basic answers to doing a LED retro fit.

search on this forum is not as straight forward as some members think it is.

Wow, nice fellowship. If you know the answer, why not just post the link to it? Otherwise just don't post anything...

To the OP, sorry I have no idea if it has ever been done as I have no interest in it. Hopefully some more useful members will chime in.

If I knew the answer I would just tell him. I don't know it because I have no interest in LEDs. I specifically bought my car a few months before the 11's were released because I hated the look.

I just know people have done it and I'm trying to save the OP money because he doesn't need to buy the whole new bumper. So read my posts before you try to cause trouble. Further more you posted absolutely no relevant information. What a clown.

Take your pick.....simple search. It took me longer to make this post than to search. If you can't figure out from these threads or the people in these threads, you are better off returning your car and buying a 2011.

you are right, you can search for many threads but where is the DIY or info on the actual process on any of those threads?
but since we're all wasting your time, you can feel free to not comment or post your negativity,
but of course im sure u want the last word... so by all means....

simple: if you cant find the DIY after searching, there's no DIY posted yet. But like mr inkredibul sed, in one of those thread someone mention that he has done it.

Mostly of the threads are not original parts.
Is there anybody who knows exactly which parts (electronics & wiring) who needs to be replaced if I want to have it like the 2010 models ?
not that 212 look-a-like

Not trying to cause trouble. You posted twice before me with a simple "do a search", in no way does that imply "I am trying to save you money" so yes, I read your posts properly. Why waste your time and his time by posting that, just don't post anything... And yes, I posted no relevant information, but neither did you before my post and no, "search" is not relevant information.

My point exactly...

To the thread starter, I apologize for going off topic. Back to the topic.

I tried to find the information for you but could not find any on here. May sound stupid but maybe you can ask your dealership? Otherwise your best bet would be to take a look at the 2011 MB C300/350 Repair Manual.

I have asked them, and they will do the modification for me, but it isen't easy because MB don't tell us what to change of electronics parts.

I know I have to change the LED + the front apron, but nobody knows what electronic parts & cables i need tho replace so the light wil behave like the new 2010 models.
In Europe the light will light up when then engine is running and when u turn on the headlight or in the dark the will light up weaker

They work the same way in North America. Yea I assumed that the brightness switch was the major problem you were gonna encounter. I really wish I could help you. Good luck figuring it out with your dealership.

You need to replace the front apron, LEDs and wiring
maybe you also need to replace the SAM module

it cost aprox NOK 1.500,-for the LEDs each, (€ 190;-)
the AMG front apron, aprox NOK 7.000,- (€ 900,-)
paintwork aprox NOK 3.500,- (€ 440,-)
SAM module ???

Because of the diffeculties with the wiring and SAM Module.
i prefer to do an complete uppgrade in Germany next year by the company VÄTH (Uttales på norsk "Fett") http://www.vaeth.com/ they can do an original uppgrade inclusive the new facellift mirror and big block brakes AMG for my car.

Price in Germany inclusive facelift mirror is aprox € 2.300,- (without the brakes)

If you live in Norway you can call me
send me an PM
