Need help for my 08 C300 engine coolant/anti-freeze
I got a message in my dash yesterday: " engine coolant low". I bought an MBenz OEM coolant @ my dealership to have my self fill it up. But I noticed the fuild color didn't match, the one in the engine resevoir has Blueish color while the one i bought is light pink in color @ 50/50 water ratio.. Should i go ahead and fill it up? Pls. do check also if your engine coolant is also blue.. coz im planning to go back to dealership to check if i bought the right one.. Any info from u guys is greatly appreciated..thx!

Blue coolant is ethylene glycol. The pinkish one is organic acid technology (OAT). Don't mix them together. Go back to the dealer and exchange it for the blue one. You can also flush out the one in the car now and refill with OAT. OAT lasts about 5 years while ethylene lasts about 2.
I could be wrong about some things so hopefully someone else can chime in.

There is supposedly a little bag of additive in the header tank that replenishes the various potions to keep the PH where it belongs.
This is probably the one worthwhile dealer service check, periodically to be sure the mix is correct.
I guess I'll verify this the next time I'm at the dealer. Which may be tomorrow.

The dealership told me mine needed to be flushed at my last service. As far as I know- I haven't had my car fifteen years.

Hey Guys! after few research, I called 2 dealerships Parts Dept. @ Sacrmento and Anaheim, CA.. Both of them dont sell Blueish colored Coolant. They only have the same one i just bought. They said: the blue color is only a dye added @ factory to confirm its the original one.. Both of them also said I can use a the Yellowish/pink colored coolant I bought at the dealerhip to add the coolant resevoir & my car should be fine..I will be attaching the Pics of the coolant i got... Hope they are right!!!
