You've spoken and we've listened. Due to the large amount of real estate the COB chip took up where space is at a premium, our V5 design had to locate the resistors at the base of the unit which made for harder installation. We've made a swap for new Samsung SMD chip while keeping the core V5 component design which allows us to move the resistor away from the base for trouble free install in our new V5.1 design:

Only thing I am wondering is are these any shorter than the previous V4.9 or V5.0? Or are they the same length?

Yes. V5.1 come in at 24.1mm in length. By comparison, V5 came in at 30mm in length.

Latest Samsung chipset looks to be holding up well and steady at around 115F, well within threshold. Lumen was slightly reduced from COB, but gained in safeguards with the newly available real estate. We're kind of tweaking things right now a bit with CREE XB chips to see if we can reclaim some of that lumen though and new Silica option just became available few weeks ago we're going to get our hands on to see if we can incorporate.
Bottom line, we're constantly improving and moving with emerging technology.

Rear plates and mirror use our 194 wedge LEDs.
For 8000k, I'd recommend these for rear plate: http://www.aznoptics.com/index.php?m...&products_id=9
and these for mirrors: http://www.aznoptics.com/index.php?m...products_id=94

Have to pull off the mirror, and disassemble the housing. I believe there was a DIY already posted. I'll see if I can locate.

Any idea when you'll have more sets for the 2012-2014 facelift taillights. I'm interested in going LED for the brake and reverse lights (turns/tails already LED as you know).

Before I buy, do you have recommendation on brake lights? Red or white? I'm assuming white would be brighter but I don't want them to be pink.

We currently don't have red in stock, just white. White is brighter and tracking trends, what majority of our customers prefer because red isn't meaningful bright enough. It won't be pink.

I've had AZN Optics LEDs in my eyelids for a few years now. Occasionally this year, I would see the passenger side still lit even though the car is off with the switch set to off. A quick forum search showed this happening to other people, and they said the LEDs must have went bad from heat.
Do the V5 LEDs resolve this issue?

Might be popped resistor. You have a fairly old design so heat might have ate into the solder. It can be repaired though if you have a soldering iron handy. We do have new version available with some added components to help with regulating current.

In addition, we've upgraded our 3457 super wedge bulb design for your front signals. More robust and twice as bright
