Carbon fiber would look *****in but I can only assume that'd be super expensive (maybe $2k?)

Don- what would you charge to matte black vinyl wrap a full c class?

I would say around $2-$3k depends on a bunch of different logistics.

Go Digi...

There was already a thread or two on this already I believe. Someone wrapped his car in matte black and shared pricing and I believe Don gave a quote somewhere to someone else for full wrap.

And unless you call out Don in the thread title, or send him a PM informing him on this thread, he might miss it. Either way, you're in Florida and he's in Cali and prices will vary by region.

Ouch! I can get it painted satin black for less than 4, that's rough. I need to get good at that and start a new business haha

That line art is very cool. My buddy camo'd his entire GTI, rear windows and all. He owned a vinyl shop so it was free for him....and it was also free advertising. I wish I still had a picture.

Why not? Seems ideal to me, you can return it to stock and protect the paint from scratches, and the life of the lease is essentially the life of the vinyl (give or take).

Haha, my car is a lease, doesn't stop me from doing anything to it that I want to do...

I think those prices are a bit extreme for a full wrap. Granted it is probably a very hard practice, and needs time and skill. But I think that I would buy the material myself, do the easy pieces, trunk, rook, hood, etc. And then bring it somewhere to just do the "difficult ones. Only thing is it probably would look weird when you open the door?

Lease cars

I'm thinking the legal owner of the car might take a dim view of this. Do lease contracts allow major mods like this. And how much will it cost to remove the stuff before turn-in?

Maybe an hour or two of your time and zero dollars. It's a big sticker.

If this is the same material as the 3M clear bra stuff, my very best wishes.

haha no it's nothing like that. Seriously, you've never seen outdooor rated 3-6 mil automotive vinyl? It's like a big sticker that's very easy to stretch. Any vehicle you've ever seen covered in a huge complex advertisement graphic has vinyl on it. It peels right off.

For those type of normal outdoor sticker vinyl, it won't be an issue, but there are materials like the previously mentioned Clear Bra vinyl as well as 3M Di-Noc that will damage your clear coat when you remove. We tested it out when someone wanted to wrap their car in the 3M Di-Noc carbon fiber with a paint thickness gauge. You're losing some of the clear coat unless you know what you're doing.

Haha, nah, I know the guys at my dealership, they let me get away with murder. And plus, everything that is on my car, I can take off and not leave any sign that it was changed within a weekend. Besides the x-pipe.

My g37 coupe I leased for 24 months had a flat tire, 2 hit and runs, 4 scratched rims, needed a brake job, and needed new tires (completely bald). And I only had to pay for one hit and run $500, and that was it! lol
