what do you mean when you say manually lock the door? because i know the ambient light will turn off with time when you close the door... And if you do leave interior lights on, when you do lock the door using the key all lights shut off inside.

The button on my key to lock the door doesnt work but you can pull the the actual metal key out of the back of it and manually lock the door that ambient light was on for hours last night

Not sure which light you are asking about. The ambient lighting (over the door handles) in my car stay on for about 30 mins after closing the doors, whether the car is locked or not.

See the owners manual. You can configure whether or not you want the vehicle lights to remain on or not. If the feature is on, I believe the time until the lights go out is 60 seconds. You can change this in Settings in the Instrument Cluster using the steering wheel buttons. Good luck

I went to my dealer asking the light control question. The advisor does not know much about light enable or disable. While there, I found:
(1) sit in and close all doors, turn the key to position 1, disable interoir light. When I pull key out, the dome light does not turn on at all. When I open and then close the door, dome light turns on and stay on for 10 seconds.
(2) do the same but enable interior light. When I pull key out, dome light turns on ans stay on for 10 seconds. When I open and then close the door, dome light turns on and stays on for 10 seconds.
To me this enable/disable is almost useless.
