VIN Lookup and Color Code

Greetings,
I Tried going to the old Russian MB website that we use to use to decode our VIN numbers, I see its closed now, anyone have any suggestions as to where I may get my VIN number decoded and be able to print it out?

My second issue is where on a 2012 MB C300 4Matic Luxury do I locate the color code number, I'd like to order some touch-up paint from drcolorchip.com and I for the life of me can not locate the color code for my vehicle, its not on the door jam, not in the engine compartment, I must be missing it somewhere, or more likely have viewed it and not recognized it when I saw it.

Its a plain jane standard Mercedes Benz "Black" in color, from what I have researched its should be color code "040"?

Any help would be appreciated and can supply VIN by private email if someone would care to decode it for me?

Post your VIN like everyone else does, and you'll have your info in a few minutes.

Unless the label design has changed since 09, look at the door jamb again. Find the label with the bar code and VIN number stamped through it. Look at the second line of text, on the right side. There should be a letter "C" with a three digit number, just before the month/year build date. If that is still the right layout, the number after the "C" is your color code.

I can look it up in netstar I work at a dealer. Why don't you simply look in the brochure it list all the color names.

Sportster, thanks, I did indeed have a good detailed look again at the label and located the 040 color code, I knew thats what it was, just wanted the reassurance before ordering the touch up paint from drcolorchip.

thanks

Vin WDB HA24G6YA805802 I have always referred to it as gold ... but the only color I see listed that appears close on a touchup paint site is 693 DESERT SILVER. Thanks.

My understanding is that your colour code is 693 but it should read "travertine beige metallic".

I've seen option code lists that give 693O and 693U for travertine beige and 693 for the window glass colour but one of my on-line sources states the above.

EPC says: Paint code 1: 693 ALL-ROUND WD-BLUE GLASS,BAND FILTER,REAR WINDOW-ES" which obviously does not sound like the paint code.

I guess it is 744: brilliant silver metallic although EPC calls it: 744 DARK BLUE SOFT TOP FABRIC 5010?

No magic needed for this car. Enter your VIN here:
http://www.auto-parts.spb.ru/cat/cat...&client=dr2000
two mouse clicks and you'll have the datacard in a pop-up window.

Some more help to decode unknown codes:
