Hood error?

I haven't been driving my 08 C for like 3 weeks. I hop in to go for a drive and as soon as get out of the driveway my hood warning light turns on. I check it and it's closed. I pop it and check if something is in the way..and nothing.
Anyone ever heard/have this problem? I don't get it

Your hood may not be closed all the way. There are 2 latches. Sometimes one of them does not fully engage and then the sensor goes off. If you look at the hood line on either side of the car you will see it on one side (if that is your problem).

It comes on just as if your trunk is open when you move your car. I'll try the suggestions you guys gave me, haven't been able to since last night.

Is there an informative thread somewhere on the proper method to adjust the hood, the striker latch, (if the hood rattles slightly so it could be tightened up) along with the hood-rests on either side?

I'm not sure. Good question though as I would like to adjust mine - it came from the factory with one side a little bit off - have to slam it in order for both sides to catch properly.

All cars in the USDM have it. I'm not sure about the ROW. Do you have an alarm system?
